Mistletoe Spotted in Powell Planter: Responding Officers Just Shake Hands

Powell, WY

As if unwanted botany in Downtown Powell couldn't get any crazier, residents just reported mistletoe growing in the southeast planter at Fourth and Bent. A concerned resident phoned the local authorities immediately. He told The Telegraph,

'I just did what any concerned citizen would. Mistletoe surely isn't native, and I can't have that riffraff in my town.'

The resident's eyes squinted,

'I'll admit it got a little weird when two officers showed up at the same time. Once they had realized their folly, and that everyone was watching, they just shook hands and left. It was like a really masculine, awkward version of Lady and The Tramp.'

At press time, the mistletoe had been properly disposed of.
