Sources close to the enterprise have confirmed to The Park County Telegraph that the beloved Northwest College Trappers have given yield to PETA's initiative to lessen hostile references to animals. The college has settled on 'Releasers' as their new name for all things previously referred to at 'Trappers'.
The school has taken the announcement in stride, but fully admits the new title will make for a pretty awkward Rodeo Team name. A small penance for the restitution surely owed to previously trapped animals.
